It's explained then that most of the androids are machine made, and in truth the staff hardly understand how they work. We learn of other problems, such as some circuts in the control center over heating from having to manage such a large population. The gynoid is also brought in, but before they can alter her programing the computer's begin to overheat causing smoke to fill the control center, the doors are electronic, and will not open. The staff parish. The guest are unaware of this, and return to west world where Delos is back, one agrees to a duel, however this time the machine is not working properly, and kills him before turning on the other guest who also flees to find Roman world going bonkers as the machines have become barbaric. The gunslinger is still following him, and he must escape, finding way into the Medieval world he finds the king is now a tyrant who seeks to invade Roman world. So many 'dead' bodies litter the ground that the guest can no longer tell what is living, and what is fraud. He defeats Delos, and begins to head for the entrance. On his way he spots a woman in the king's dungeon, chained to the wall, and appearing to be delerious. He assumes her to be dehydrated, and offers her water, but she refused, not wanting his only human contact to parish he forces her to drink it, causing her to short circut. Unknown to him, she was the machine that had refused his friend, a machine seeking self idenity. Troubled by this, he leaves the area it was being held, and the credits begin to roll.
