- Rails are Blocks that carry Minecarts. They were added into Minecraft Pocket Edition in Update 0.8.0. They can also be found naturally in Abandoned Mineshafts. They have a variant which allows Minecarts to speed up called Powered Rails. They also allow the Player to make turns, as all other rail types cannot make turns.
