Cafe Vitales was a restaurant in Brooklyn run by and named after Jimmy Vitales. It managed to remain independent of the local Tattaglia family for many years, before falling under the thumb of Johnny Mussolini and the Barzini family. Jimmy made numerous attempts to restore his property's independence, to no avail. In 1946, the restaraunt fell into the hands of the Corleone family.
