Abyssal Guardians are a type of mutant in Random Kingdom III. They are humanoids, but of an inhuman mindset and with alterations to their physiology to facilitate living at great depths in an oceanic environment. They are somewhat taller than a human, remotely resembling a scaled-down Load Mutant in proportions. However, they are clearly piscine, indicating a possible relation to fish people. The Abyssal Guardian's only method of attack is firing black orbs of gravitational energy, which inflict %Damage to their target and are thus never fatal.

Abyssal guardians can hit fairly high for their level, though they have low defence and are fairly inaccurate. Abyssal guardians attack with magic and are weak to arrows. If hunting Abyssal monsters for their rune pouch drops, it is recommended to kill Abyssal walkers instead, which are slightly lower-levelled.
