  • George D. Wallace (1917 - 2005) was discovered while working as a bartender in Hollywood, California. [1] He was soon cast as "Commander Cody" in the Republic Pictures serial Radar Men From the Moon (1952). Wallace went on to appear in many Westerns, such as Drums Across the River (1954) and Man Without A Star (1955). He mostly played supporting characters in movies, with small roles in Forbidden Planet (1956), The Towering Inferno (1974), Forces of Nature (1999), and Minority Report (2002). However, Wallace worked in television throughout his career. He often starred in episodes of Hopalong Cassidy, Death Valley Days, Rawhide, and The Big Valley. Wallace also appeared in many non-Western series, including The Brady Bunch, Dynasty, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Mad About You. In addition to his many guest roles on televsion, Wallace also played recurring characters in Disney's Daniel Boone, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, and Hill Street Blues.
