The 1956-36 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Oklahoma State Fairgrounds on August 3, 1956. Lee Petty dominated the event, leading 168 of 200 laps, but fell out of the race late. That left Jim Paschal to inherit the lead, and Paschal wound up winning his only race of the year. 1956 champion Buck Baker finished 9th. Stats
