Due to the rapid gathering and expelling of chakra from the eye it inflicts notable pain upon Ryū with each use, increasing each time the technique is used in a three minute window. A single attack is not enough to kill or severely wound unless aimed perfectly and as such this technique is mainly used to either strike fear into an opponent or simply deliver an attack from a distance. Multiple projectiles may be formed at once but the time needed to prepare the attack increases with each projectile as does the pain that the Ryū feels from using the technique.
