Tara Plantation, often referred simply as Tara, was the plantation that was property of Irish immigrant, Gerald O'Hara. It was in Georgia, and was one of the few plantations to survive the great civil war, it's nearest counterpart, Twelve Oaks, did not have the same luck. The house servants were Mammy, Prissy, and, Pork. Although Tara was salvaged by the Union army, it survived as it sold cotton (which was a cash crop) after the civil war.
