The Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighter, more commonly known as the V-wing starfighter, was a light, fast starfighter used by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. It was used in many space battles of the 501st Legion, and was favorite fighter of the clone pilots.

- V-wing were later succeeded by the Imperial TIE Fighter and its variants, as well as the Rebel RZ-1 A-wing interceptor, all of which incorporated aspects of the V-wing into their designs.
- De V-Wing was een vrij compacte starfighter met twee zijwaartse vleugels. Deze kenmerken vond men terug in latere starfighters zoals de TIE Fighter en de A-Wing Starfighter. De piloot zat in een vrij kleine cockpit met achter hem een speciale Q7 Astromech Droid. De V-Wing zelf kende ook wel wat vergelijkingen met de Delta-7 Aethersprite-class Light Interceptor. Walex Blissex was dan ook verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerp van de V-Wing. Hoewel de V-Wing niet zo sterk bewapend en beschermd was, zou het één van de snelste schepen blijven in het universum gedurende lange tijd.
- Alpha-3 Nimbus Starfighter inaczej zwany V-wing jest trzecim po myśliwcach typu Delta-7 i Eta-2 myśliwcem zaprojektowanym przez firmę Kuat Systems Engineering na potrzeby marynarki wojennej Starej Republiki i jednocześnie bezpośrednim prekursorem myśliwców typu TIE. V-wing został wprowadzony do służby w trakcie Wojen Klonów, a po ich zakończeniu jeszcze przez kilka lat służył w Flocie Imperialnej. Gdy rozpoczęła się masowa produkcja myśliwców TIE V-Wing odszedł w odstawkę.
