- Zayne had lived on dantooine all of his life with his friends Oojoh and Kamlin. when he was eight he met Shad Jelavan when he moved to Khoonda and they became friends. When he was ten he made friends with Gharn. When he was fifteen all of them became inseperable.

- Zayne Carrick was a male Human Jedi Padawan later Jedi Knight during the Mandalorian Wars. Born with only a marginal connection to the Force, Zayne spent most of his time among the Jedi fully expecting to wash out someday. Despite this lack of raw ability, Zayne tried his best and did show a talent for making friends as well as a strong understanding of Jedi ideals. Those ideals were put to the test when he found himself framed for murder by his own master Lucien Draay. While on the run Zayne found his destiny to be tied to his friend Alek; the man who would someday become Darth Malak.

Carrick arrived on Taris to train with them. His performance was poor as a Jedi but was nevertheless promoted to a Jedi Knight. He later discovered that he was framed for a massacre and escapes from authorities. During his adventures, he meets up with various gang leaders, Carth Onasi, and Cassus Fett himself.
