Dr. Jim Halliwell was a pharmacist who owned and worked in Halliwell's Pharmacy in New York City. He was a member of the Church of the Sacred Redeemer, along with his wife Penny Halliwell. They were very active in the Church, and wished to be a model towards others. As a member of the Church, he filled prescriptions of the residents of a Church-operated nursing home at less than cost. The scheme was eventually discovered by Detectives Robert Goren and Alexandra Eames. He plead guilty to diluting 26,000 prescriptions, for which he agreed to a sentence of 30 years in prison.
