Victor Henry "Vic" Elford (born 10 June 1935, in London) is a former sportscar racing, rallying and Formula One driver from England. He participated in 13 World Championship F1 Grands Prix, debuting on 7 July 1968. He scored a total of 8 championship points. Nicknamed "Quick Vic" by his peers Elford was mainly a famous sports car competitor as well as a successful rally driver, associated often with Porsche.

Biography	Vic Elford is a former NASCAR driver from South London, England. He competed in four Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten. Elford debuted in 1969, racing at Daytona, starting 26th in the qualifier event to make the Daytona 500. Completing all but two laps, Elford drove to a solid 11th place finish and easily made the 500. Elford was able to back that up in the big race, completing all but twelve laps and finishing 11th again. Elford returned to Daytona in 1971, competing once again in the qualifier event to make the Daytona 500. Starting 14th in the field, Elford completed all but four laps and finished 20th, just barely missing the Daytona 500. Elford was able to make the Daytona 500 in 1972, the first year that the qualifier events were not points events. By finishing 7th in the qualifier, Elford started 13th and finished 10th in the Daytona 500, his only career top-ten in a points race. External Links *Stats
