Dorothy Haas (born 1935) is a noted twentieth-century children's book editor and author. She wrote two Oz books for young readers, Dorothy and the Seven-Leaf Clover (1985) and Dorothy and Old King Crow (1986). A native of Racine, Wisconsin, Haas graduated from Marquette University in 1955. She became a book editor, first with Whitman, then with Worldbook Childcraft, and finally with Rand-McNally; she worked for the later company from 1970 to 1983, as Editor of Books for Children and Young Adults.

She also wrote. She prepared some twenty picture books for Whitman, and created her first text, Little Joe's Puppy, in 1957. She continued to write simultaneously with her editing career, and after her retirement from editing in 1983 she wrote for children full time. Haas wrote several books employing Disney characters; her output includes young adult fiction and a biography of Michael Jordan for teen readers.
