Huge Hell-Rats are hostile monsters that can be encountered in small, fiery gulches around Karamja Volcano. These creatures emerged along with the Flame Tower, and generally keep their distance from the Warriors and Guards around it. Additionally, in the center of the largest of these gulches there is a small fissure requiring 9 Agility to fit through, leading to a cave containing higher level Hell-Rats. These more powerful Hell-Rats are notable for being the only monsters in the game to drop Dragon kites. Additionally, in this cave one can encounter two Tzhaar-Xil hunting the rats, although the reason for this is unknown as they do not seem to drop meat.
