Duane Wood (September 20, 1937 - July 23, 2012) was a former professional American football cornerback who played five professional seasons (1960-1964) in the American Football League for the Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs franchise. He was in the Texans' 1962 AFL Championship game win over the two-time AFL Champion Houston Oilers in the longest professional football championship game up to that time. The next year, 1963 he was selected to the AFL All-Star game.

  • Duane Wood (September 20, 1937 - July 23, 2012) was a former professional American football cornerback who played five professional seasons (1960-1964) in the American Football League for the Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs franchise. He was in the Texans' 1962 AFL Championship game win over the two-time AFL Champion Houston Oilers in the longest professional football championship game up to that time. The next year, 1963 he was selected to the AFL All-Star game. Wood also played several years in the Canadian Football League. He began his pro career with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, where he was selected an All-Star in 1959. Finally, he finished his career with the Edmonton Eskimos in 1965.
