The technique works around the sole fact that each technique is comprised of several elements in its initial formation. By utilizing the Sharingan's innate abilities to perceive through chakra and its formation, the user is capable of recording the various components that make up a technique based out of chakra. These include: the properties that govern its makeup, the various points in the technique where chakra may fluctuate, and points where the chakra is required to be in amounts greater than any other point in the technique. By accessing this information, the user is then able to store it for later use. When coupled with the technique known as Jinushigami, it is regarded as a highly dangerous combination; this is mainly due to the copied jutsu being potentially far more destructive, refined or simply more powerful than the jutsu used against the Uchiha clansman.
