Aaron Starkey was the apparent social worker who had been assigned to Paula Koklos, one of four deformed quadruplets. It was later revealed that the four girls were actually the nephilim & Starkey was the Devil searching for them. After failing to find the first three girls, who had been taken by another angel known as the seraphim, Starkey tricked Scully into helping him find the last girl at Father Gregory's church. Scully realized what he was however, & gave up the girl to the seraphim, after seeing a vision of her deceased daughter Emily. After failing to claim the souls of the girls, Starkey vanished.
