| - Demlock's Ravine is a geographical feature located in Demlock's Cut in Utrae. It is the deepest of the many valleys and canyons created around the Tower of Kmethekt, when the Utraean high wizard Demlock cast massive thunderstorms before his death in order to drown the oncoming Zaurask hordes. By the time the Hero of Arhok arrived at the ravine, evil cultists had set up camp, and were summoning Rune creatures. These efforts of theres culminated in their leader conjuring the Rune Guardian: a massive specimen of Rune monsters, equipped with the Scythe of Angk, the tempestuous first magical weapon created by Utraean smiths. The trader Lhuk Torath was separated from his father Bran by these abominations, and the Hero and his companions had to push through many spellcasters and summoned beasts before they were able to see Lhuk. In their way, however, stood the Rune Master and his Guardian, plus many more casters and acclimated Rune creatures. They did kill every Rune-associated monster, loot the Master's treasure, and acquire the Scythe of Angk for their own use. Lhuk was then able to trade with the adventurers. He had set up near a Displacer pad, which linked with the Tower of Kmethekt's exit to Xot's Pass. Demlock's Ravine, like the rest of the Cut, shares a similar climate to the temperate regions of Ehb and the Utraean Peninsula, only with much more rain and a color-changing sky; both caused by powerful magic.
