While out for a stroll, Tails comes across billboards apparently posted by his fans, inviting him to meet them in the Casino Night Zone. He comes across a number of people wearing headsets and armed with packs and laser guns, who immediately fire upon him. They miss, but a chunk of rubble almost hits one of them. Tails saves him, knocking his headset off, and learns that anyone wearing the headsets sees him as a Badnik. The rescuee reveals that Max Gamble came up with the headsets and told everyone they were playing a virtual reality game, purely for revenge against Tails. The fox quickly finds Gamble and drops him into the middle of the gamers, who see him as an even bigger Badnik and immediately attack, hoping to score more points.
