Briarwood is a dark, brooding wilderness composed of the sub-regions Briarheart, Bristlewood, Neetleseed, and Thistlerow. At the beginning of Briarwood, you will find a hedge maze that has a path leading to the other side. Chugawug guards are found partrolling in many places, and are rumored to be sent by the Queen of Briarheart Palace. Travelers between the two countries would go far out of their way to avoid having to venture close to Briarwood. Tales of mushroom zombies and man-eating plants was enough to leave Briarwood mostly undisturbed. Inhabitants can include wild man eating plants, animals (including large spiders and ravens), and bandits.

This resulted in the Briarwood Academy merging with its sister school, Octavian Country Day School, to form BOCD in the end of Sealed With a Diss. A hole in the plot of the series is that during a school assembly at OCD, Principal Burns stated that it would be a lengthy process to rebuild Briarwood from the ground, one that would take "several years". However, Briarwood Academy construction was in fact finished by the end of Boys R Us, while the Soul M8s, are still in eighth grade.

Briarwood was also mentioned by Cat in the Victorious episode, "The Blonde Squad."
