Once a Frontacian city-state, Penthania is the home of the Penthanians. It is located in the deserts of the Great Waste, north of the Great Divide. During the Frontacian Empire, Penthania waged a civil war against a neighboring city, Secia. However, the war escalated when the citizens of Arcania became involved in the conflict on the side of Secia. The people of Penthania unleashed the devistating force known as UnMagick to strip the Arachnians of their runes. However, when the UnMagick was released, the blacklash from the spell transformed the Frontacians of Penthania into Penthanians and the Frontacians of Secia into Secians. This event is referred to as the Great Change.
