Brooke Buchanan (born May 9, 1972) the current White House Press Secretary, serving under President John McCain. She is the third female White House Press Secretary; Dee Dee Myers was the first, during the Clinton Administration, while Dana Perino was the second, during the George W. Bush Administration. On November 22, 2008, Buchanan was announced as the press secretary of the McCain administration. She assumed the role of press secretary on January 20, 2009, and gave her first official briefing on January 22.
