He played junior hockey for the St. Catharines Black Hawks (then a Chicago Blackhawks farm team) from 1964 to 1967. Sicinski turned pro with the Greensboro Generals in 1967-68, playing three seasons there and scoring over 300 points. He was then moved to the Dallas Black Hawks until 1972. He never played for the NHL Blackhawks. In 1972 he jumped to the Chicago Cougars of the World Hockey Association (WHA). Sicinski scored 88 points in his first season (1972-73). His production dropped after that year. After two years with the Cougars he joined the Indianapolis Racers in 1974 for three seasons.
