The Valuerta were a pink-skinned humanoid species native to Vleekstral. They were short beings, with the tallest of the species reaching .7 meter. Their magenta sun which shot out intense radiation was responsible for their healthy skin tone and lack of it would begin to turn their skin grey and brittle, so they stayed outdoors from sunrise to sunset. Dangerous gas storms that blotted out the day sky were the only things that kept them inside. A Valuerta that received too little Vleekian sunlight would succumb to fractal degeneration. Due to this, Valuerta were forced to remain on Vleekstral.

Dangerous gas storms that blotted out the day sky were the only things that kept them inside. A Valuerta that received too little Vleekian sunlight would succumb to fractal degeneration. Due to this, Valuerta were forced to remain on Vleekstral. After gas storms moved through, the Valuerta returned out to the open to look for survivors. Those caught in the storm still in one piece were carried to a hill and cremated. Their pink ashes were used in ceremonies to honor the dead and in ritual for new youth. Burning the pink ash would produce white flames. Valuerta built giant solar collectors to funnel the radiation from their star into energy for their homes and cities, and also for use in personal rejuvenators during dark days.
