King Joffrey I Baratheon is the eldest son of King Robert Baratheon and Queen Cersei Lannister. Robert was only his legal father, however, as he was actually the offspring of Cersei and her brother, Ser Jaime Lannister. Joffrey ascended to the throne after the death of his father. He was killed at his wedding to Margaery Tyrell as a result of a plot by Petyr Baelish and Olenna Tyrell.
