The Mushroom Kingdom Beard Appreciation Club has tried reaching out to the Mario Bros, as its members are great fans of their impeccable and heroic facial hair. Neither Mario nor Luigi have responded, but the Mushroom Kingdom Beard Appreciation Club firmly believes that they will one day reply. This has led the Mushroom Kingdom Beard Appreciation Club to start a programme, the "Beard Appreciation Movement". It consists in its members, Goombarbe, Koopbeard, Boord and Beardo, hiding coins, mushrooms and other precious items for the Mario Bros to find on their adventures. It is a philanthropic extension the Mushroom Kingdom Beard Appreciation Club's original philosophy, which is to appreciate beards of all sizes and shapes. As well as this, the Mushroom Kingdom Beard Appreciation Club works tightly together with the Mushroom Kingdom Police Department, along with Deputy Buffy Foxx. They act as amateur detectives to help fight against Bowser and his crime rings, and aspire to become heroes like the Mario Bros.
