He was taken advantage of countless times, his social status burning him with the mark of: filfth, but he brushed it off, occasionally with well-placed words or blows, using his small size to escape from his tormentors. He was taken advantage of countless times, his social status burning him with the mark of: filfth, but he brushed it off, occasionally with well-placed words or blows, using his small size to escape from his tormentors. His family was broken up, and his household was always different, he made his way in and out of foster care, but more often than not, the parents viwed the young boy as more of a nuisance than a sentient being, and tossed him to the curb carelessly, as if he were another piece of trash. This happened rather frequently, and Pierce accepted it, viewing it as another part of life; as something that everyone went through. Constantly moving and quiet, he never established steady relationships with people outside of hatred. At the age of 11, he gave up on foster care, convinced he was old enough to care for himself. This wasn't true, and he lived as a street urchin for most of the rest of his life, getting cruelly abused by passer-byers and rambunctious youth, his property stolen or defiled. Once again, he accepted it, he saw no need for violence in this situation, he put up with it, and that was his life. Well, untl he was offered a job as a miner on some out-of-the-way rock that no one had heard of. He gladly accepted it, eager to maintain a steady job, and make a living. However, the companjy had disobeyed many mining laws, exposing their workers to harsh chemicals, killing most, injuring the few survivors. Pierce was lucky, and suffered from neither. He finally made his way to the Empire. They offered warmth, a home, and a paycheck for those willing. He was willing...Family
