Billy Merman was one of several names under which the songwriter Bill Giant, also known as Bill "Harvey" Zimmerman, recorded as an artist. His brief stint as a singer lasted for ten years between 1956 and 1966, during which Giant recorded for the record labels President (as Billy Merman), Mark (as Ethan Giant), Signature (as Bert & Bill Giant), Dot, MGM, Avon, Bounty, and Decca.
