  • Julia Collins was the old-maid sister of Justin Collins. Julia was the sister of Justin Collins, head of the main branch of the Collins Family in Parallel Time, living in Collinwood. A cadet branch of the family lived in the Old House, which was built contemporaneously with Collinwood in the the 1841 parallel time band. Together they concealed the curse of the Collins Family and the lottery. Julia, Justin and his wife Flora were participants in the most recent lottery prior to 1841. Justin "won" the lottery and went mad as a result. By the time of Justin's death in 1841 she had established herself as he de facto Mistress of Collinwood, even though that title technically belonged to Flora (1199). Julia was the only person who knew that Justin and Josette Collins were the real parents of Melanie Collins, who secretly followed her father into the Locked room when he spent the night there. She tried very hard to prevent Melanie discovering the truth, as a means of protecting Flora.
