The Kerbals accelerated their technology much quicker than any other species due to the large amount of Forerunner Artifacts located in the planet's Arctic region. According to Human research the Kerbals reached Technological Tier 4 in the year of 1935, in 2134 Technological Tier 3 was reached, Technological Tier 2 was achieved in 2263, and Technological Tier 1 was finally reached in 2381. During the time in between the the encounter by Unngoy and the reaching of Tier 1 they attempted to surpass Tier 1 but it is essentially impossible. The first contact with any species of non-Kerbals was in 2613 when an Unngoy Frigate had a slipspace malfunction and ended up in the atmosphere of Kerbin and it did not end well. When the ship arrived it had engine failure and ended up crashing in to a Forer

When the ship arrived it had engine failure and ended up crashing in to a Forerunner Artifact in the Arctic. Upon this happening Kerbals Union troops were deployed and the Human,Sangheili,Unngoy-Kerbal war began. The engagement on Kerbin lasted atleast 2 Months. Resulting in all deaths of the Crew of The Poonflip and atleast 700 dead Kerbals. Before all crew was lost the location of the Kerbin was sent back to Balaho, but the Kerbals because of this also got the location of Balaho. Fleets of both groups mobilized, including Unngoy 1st Fleet. The first fleet engagement had heavy casualties, as Unngoy 3rd Fleet was completely wiped out and 2nd fleet was reduced to three quarters of it's size. In 2614 4th Fleet arrived at Kerbin, And began it's assault. The Fleet engagement planetary defenses and was able to penetrate them. They then deployed ground troops to their main ship building facility in Kerbamore. Over 2000 grunts were deployed and overwhelmed the defenders, destroying the ship building yards in the process.Eventually Unngoy ground troops were overwhelmed but not before taking atleast 7000 Kerbals to the grave. Then the Kerbals deployed their Fleet to Balaho. Orbital defenses engaged the fleet and were almost completely annihilated. Kerbal Union troops then deployed to the capital but were heavily defeated on ground. Old Tyrants from the Unngoy's days in the Covenant were used against the Kerbal ships proving extremely effective, effectively stopping the fall of Balaho. After seeing this invasion the Sangheili and UNSC stepped in to intervene. The Sangheili sent ships as by this time the Sangheili war had ended and the UNSC did the same. After a 5 year war a truth was brokered out, but at the cost of the Kerbals handing over many of their warships to be taken.
