Neil Gordon Thorne (Born 8 August 1932) is a retired Conservative Party politician. He was a member of the Greater London Council representing Redbridge from 1967 – 1973. In October 1974 he made his first attempt to win a seat in the House of Commons at Ilford South. Unsuccessful as this occasion, he won the seat in 1979, holding at the next two elections before being defeated at the 1992 general election. More information on the Wikipedia page [1].
