He coached his oldest daughter's high school powderpuff team to four consecutive wins, being the only powderpuff team in Franklin High School history to remain undefeated champions. This accomplishment made him the most successful "coach" among Sacramento media personalities, topping the success Grant Napear had coaching synchronized diving.
