Synopsis
  • Visiting his brother Jim and his wife Sue, Hal is asked to babysit his new nephew, Howie while Sue and Jim go out on a date. When they are held up by muggers while calling in to check on Hal, Hal rushes out and saves them as Green Lantern. He beats the crooks fair and square using his own hands instead of his power ring, and turns them over to the police, before quickly returning back to baby Howie before his parents can get home. After Hal departs, Sue is still convinced that Jim is really Green Lantern, sometime later, Hal mails them a small Green Lantern suit for baby Howie to wear.
  • Taking up a job as an insurance adjuster in a town in northern Washington, Hal Jordan is sent to check and see if there are any bogus insurance claims due to a meteor crashing in an area of lumber stocks that are insured by the company. Checking things out as Green Lantern, Hal finds a giant named Evil Eye who has come from the planet Nabgor to steal Earth's oxygen for his home planet. Using his power ring to grow to the same size as Evil Eye, Hal tries to battle the creature hand-to-hand and easily defeats his foe. Carrying his opponent back to the planet Nabgor, Hal warns any of the people there to never attack the Earth again. Returning to his civilian guise, Hal advises his boss that there are no bogus claims going on up in the forest.
