“Quick Bulbasaur use Tackle!” went a yell. Tyler and Leira along with their new friend, Electra were in the heart of Viridian Forest. Leira was currently in the midst of a Pokemon battle against a bug catcher, a Pokemon Trainer who specialized in training bug-type Pokemon. Leira was using her Bulbasaur, her starting Pokemon acquired from Professor Oak and the bug catcher was using a Caterpie which quickly fell to Leira’s Bulbasaur. “Squirtle!” The Pokemon exclaimed in happiness, however, his trainer did not share the good nature that his Pokemon had. “That boy….” Leira growled.

  • “Quick Bulbasaur use Tackle!” went a yell. “No my powerful bug Pokemon!” The bug catcher cried recalling his fainted caterpillar Pokemon back to the Pokeball. He glared at Leira right before he took off running, muttering words of anger under his breath. “Oh please, Leira clearly made quick work of his crappy bugs.” Electra remarked, sticking her tongue out at the bug catcher as he ran off. The trio laughed at the behavior of the bug catcher, appearing to enjoy each other’s company even more with each passing moment. Meanwhile…. “I will never lose again!” Tommy spat standing in a forest clearing, he was quickly not taking his recent loss to Electra rather well and even worse for him, she begun traveling around with his arch rival. Tommy released his Squirtle from it’s Pokeball and stared the Pokemon down, the blue turtle gave it’s trainer a friendly look. “Squirtle!” The Pokemon exclaimed in happiness, however, his trainer did not share the good nature that his Pokemon had. “Listen up twerp, I will not accept any more losses!” Tommy growled, hollering at his Squirtle. The tiny blue turtle Pokemon stepped back in fear of it’s trainer, not knowing what to expect next. “We’re going to do some serious grinding then we’re going to find Tyler, blast him to smithereens and his new friend and take care of her Pikachu as if we were pest control!” Tommy’s Squirtle stood up straight and performed a militaristic salute to his trainer, letting Tommy known that he was paying absolute attention. “Marvelous.” Tommy snickered, rubbing his hands together, apparently he thought he was some kind of evil villain. While Tommy was going on his rampage, there was something else stirring within the depths of the Viridian Forest. A horde of bee-like Pokemon were nested in the trees above, attempting to sleep. These Pokemon were Beedrill and they were known to attack in swarms. Tommy’s constant yelling was not helping the Beedrill’s need for sleep and eventually, one by one, the yellow jackets awoke from their slumber in anger. Meanwhile, Tyler and his crew were taking a break from all of the walking needed to get through the Viridian Forest. Tyler’s Pidgey performed circles in the skies above the forest, on the look out for any nearby danger. On the ground, Tyler was practicing with his Charmander for the next time they faced off against Tommy whilst Electra and Leira, along with their Pokemon were resting. “That boy never takes breaks, he is going to tire that poor Pokemon out.” Electra stated. “Yeah, he gets like that sometimes and his Charmander looks to be just like him, wanting to work as hard as he does.” Leira replied, stroking the head of her Bulbasaur. “Well, they’ll need to stop sometime before they kill themselves.” Electra commented again. As the group rested, Tyler’s Pidgey let out a squawk of fear. Flying through the air, like arrows, were darts of poison. “That’s a Poison Sting attack!” Leira exclaimed, identifying the danger at hand. Tyler’s Pidgey was able to dodge the attacks and steer clear, heading down to the ground in safety. Suddenly, buzzing filled the area. “Oh no…looks like we are in for some danger.” Electra remarked, she wished she was wrong but she was so right. Appearing around the group was a swarm of Beedrill. “Oh crap!” Tyler yelled in fear of the Beedrill swarm, he knew from experience, bees stung and that was exactly what the Beedrill were going to do if they caught them. “We can’t fight them all off!” Leira screamed. “We’ve got to run.” Tyler said, scooping his Charmander up in his arms. Tyler dashed through the undergrowth with his Pidgey following behind him, appearing to attempt to shield Tyler and Charmander from the Beedrill that were attacking. “He left us!” Electra screeched in shock and anger. “That boy….” Leira growled. “Pika!” Electra’s Pikachu shouted, leaping in the air to deliver a Thundershock attack onto the Beedrill. The attack took out some of the Beedrill but more appeared, there were just too many to hold off at once. “We’ve got to get out of here!” Leira howled, grabbing her Bulbasaur and sprinting out of the clearing. On Leira’s heels was Electra, whose Pikachu continued to hurl electricity at the Beedrill, attempting to hold them off. The girls and their Pokemon continued to run but their legs could no longer carry them and they were forced to give in. “We’re done for.” Electra sighed, dropping to the ground. Electra’s Pikachu was tired out from constantly using it’s attacks to fight off the Beedrill swarm, which was gaining on them. “No.” Leira said, balling up her fist, her Bulbasaur standing boldly next to her. “We cannot give up now and let ourselves be killed.” Leira went on. Her Bulbasaur more than likely wouldn’t be able to hold them off but she had to try. The Beedrill closed in, when suddenly, their attention turned elsewhere. Hiding in the undergrowth nearby was Tommy and his Squirtle. “Tommy!” cried Leira. “Hi.” Tommy said, unfortunately for Tommy, the Beedrill recognized his voice as the sound that woke him up and unleashed hurls of Poison Sting unto him and his Squirtle. Tommy and his Squirtle were then sent hurling through the air, disappearing in the clouds above with a twinkle. The Beedrill swarm, after finding what caused their anger, began to settle…all except one Beedrill who remained behind to finish what it’s swarm had started. “Alright Bulbasaur let’s go!” Leira exclaimed. “Bulba!” Leira’s Bulbasaur chanted, ready to battle. The Beedrill unleashed a Poison Sting attack at Leira’s Bulbasaur who retaliated with an attack of her own, unleashing vines from it’s bulb grabbing the Beedrill and restraining it while tolerating the damage from the Poison Sting. “Wow Bulbasaur I didn’t know you could use Vine Whip.” Leira gasped in surprise. “Bulbasaur.” Leira’s Bulbasaur responded, nodding her head right before she smashed the Beedrill onto the ground. The Beedrill was dazed and confused giving Leira her chance. Leira grabbed an empty Pokeball and threw it at the Beedrill which disappeared into the capsule. In three shakes, the Pokeball chimed, Leira had now made her first capture as well. “Great job Leira!” Electra cheered, congratulating Leira on her achievement. Leira smirked and grabbed the Pokeball, containing her new Beedrill off of the ground. “Now, we can go find that runaway of ours.” Leira said to Electra, referring to Tyler. Tyler himself wasn’t that far way, he managed to avoid the Beedrill swarm and was safely in another part of the forest with his Pokemon. Tyler walked through the forest, feeling rather lost and worried, he walked into something. Tyler collapsed to the ground and looked up at what…or rather who he had run into. A rather stern looking man wearing a suit with a big red “R” printed on it with close-cut black hair. “Wh-who are you?” Tyler stammered in fear, the man looking rather mysterious and devious to say the least. “Don’t worry about who I am kid, you shouldn’t be wondering through here it isn’t safe.” The man responded, a smirk spreading across his face. “Okay.” Tyler replied, still in fear. The mysterious man walked away from Tyler, looking rather casual with his hands in his pockets. “Excuse me mister!” Tyler cried at the last minute. “What?” The mysterious man questioned Tyler. “How do you get out of this forest?” Tyler asked. “Keep walking straight, you’ll be out eventually.” The mysterious man replied, disappearing into the shadows of the forest.
