Nearly 1,000 feet below the PCI facilities are one of Everett's several emergency war bunkers. The Pentastar War Bunker is defended by hard to penetrate armor layers over 1,500 feet under the surface of the ground. The war bunker is self sustaining, with its own fusion power source, water recycling, oxygen system and recycling system and storage of necessary supplies that can last over a decade. War bunkers contain full control of the Automated Forces, Fusion Deployment System, Planetary Defense System and other "doomsday" military controls. The Presidential Manor, Judicial Hall and Capitol Building are connected directly to the Pentastar's emergency war bunkers with an armored and secured underground high speed train. During an outbreak of an Alert 3 level crisis on the Federal Alert Status, the government is evacuated to the emergency bunkers to ensure the survival of the leadership. The exterior (five surface floors) of the building are designed to survive an indirect nuclear/fusion strike, using blast resistant and armored windows and reinforced concrete and steel structure to allow for the building to be usable following an attack. The entire building, like the entirety of all Everetti government and military structures and facilities as well as the entirety of Everett City itself, is electromagnetic pulse proof, protecting the building from an EMP based attack or natural event. As a final security measure, the Pentastar features several retractable SDI turrets around and on top of the structure.
