Cassander (Greek: Κάσσανδρος Ἀντιπάτρου, Kassandros son of Antipatros; ca. 350 BC – 297 BC), was a Greek Hellenistic King of Ancient Macedon (305–297 BC), son of Antipater, and founder of the Antipatrid dynasty. He was the namesake of his paternal uncle, Cassander.

- Cassander was the chief planet of the Cassandran sectors. It was the sector capital of Cassander sector under the New Order, and it was on the Braxant Run. During the expansion to the New Territories by the Galactic Republic, the planet was an unsuccessful trading rival to Ord Mantell. This planet became the central body of the Cassandran Worlds before the Galactic Empire took it over. It was conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong during the first stages of the Yuuzhan Vong War.
- Cassander was raised in Macedon by the court. His father, Antipater, was an aspiring nobleman who was gifted the control of Macedon when Alexander went away on his campaigns. Antipater had previously held a good relationship with both Alexander and Olympias, but when he became more powerful and influental in Macedonia Olympas began losing her trust in him. She wrote numerous letters to Alexander, claiming that Antipater was a traitor to the state. Wether this was true, or wether it was just Olympias usual suspicion that was surfacing, nobody knows.
