  • Is This Real? is the 1980 debut album of the punk rock band the Wipers. It was digitally remastered by Greg Sage in 2001, and released as a part of the Wipers Box Set with the songs in a slightly different order, along with some previously unreleased tracks. The album was later reissued on Sub Pop in 1993 with three bonus tracks from the Alien Boy EP. In 2001 it was reissued again on Greg Sage's own Zeno Records as part of a digitally remastered 3-CD set, with the track list altered so that the song "Alien Boy" appeared together with the other three tracks of the Alien Boy EP, after "Wait a Minute". The album was reissued on LP by Jackpot Records in 2006, remastered from the original tapes provided by Greg Sage himself. The songs "Return of the Rat" and "D-7" were both covered by Nirvana, the latter being released on both the Hormoaning EP and the UK version of the "Lithium" single. A live version appeared on the concert CD/DVD Live at Reading. Kurt Cobain listed it in his top 50 albums of all time. My Vitriol covered "Wait a Minute" on their "Cemented Shoes" single. BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel stated in a 1993 interview that it was one of his top 20 favorite albums.[citation needed]
