Spartan Bryce Day was a UNSC Army Ranger who fought in the Human-Covenant War. During the early war, Day was present during the Covenant invasion of his homeworld, Roleath, and participated in many battles across the planet, eventually evacuating with the rest of the surviving UNSC forces. He would be sent to numerous other colonies over the years, all unfortunately falling to the Covenant. Eventually he was assigned to Reach in 2550, where he trained other Army Rangers until Reach was attacked and glassed by the Covenant in 2552. After the Fall of Reach, he was once again relocated to Earth right before the Covenant invasion began on October 20, 2552. After the war, he volunteered for the SPARTAN-IV Program, being assigned as second-in-command of Fireteam Discens underneath Spartan Arnulf
