Curly refuses to take the £100 back. Jim urges Des not to lose his self-respect. Des throws his wedding album away. Curly gets the accounts clerk, Dennis Proctor, to pay the other £100 to Angie. Martin goes to the Citizens Advice Bureau to find out about adoption. They tell him that he'll have to go to court and the judge might ask why he isn't marrying Gail. Reg is furious to discover that Curly authorised payment for Angie. He tells him that the auditors are due.
