- Christian Rodska (born Christian Rodskjaer on 5th September 1945) appeared in Coronation Street in July and August 1980 as house agent Mr Newton. The son of a Danish sailor, he was born in Cullercoats, Northumberland and entered the acting business in the late 1960s with one of his first roles being in a 1968 edition of The Wednesday Play. From 1971 to 1973 he appeared in the regular role of Ron Stryker in the Yorkshire Television children’s series Follyfoot and has also had recurring roles in The Stars Look Down, This Year, Next Year (written by John Finch), The Nesbitts are Coming (starring Maggie Jones) and 55 Degrees North but in addition to these parts, Christian has had numerous roles over the years in many series such as Z Cars, Doctors, Casualty, Maigret, Taggart and Bergerac, many
