  • Ellie the Elephant is an Animal Buddy that first appeared in the SNES platformer Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. She had the ability to suck up water and shoot it out or suck up barrels and throw them. Ellie has a fear of Sneeks in this game. If there was a Sneek under a light she couldn't go under the light. If the Sneek looked at Ellie, she would turn around and run. Ellie reappered in the Game Boy Advance remake of DKC3 and in the background of the Japan only Donkey Konga 3 and her latest appearance was in the wii racing game Donkey Kong Racing.
  • Ellie the Elephant is a fictional character in Nintendo's Donkey Kong franchise. She is the second Animal Buddy known to be female (next to Orco the Killer Whale). She first appeared in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. She can carry barrels (even pulling them in from a distance) and collect water in her trunk (allowing her to shoot it at the enemies), but, in classic cartoon form, she is extremely afraid of mice and will run any time she sees one. One particular level ("Stampede Sprint," in the secret world Krematoa) even centers around Ellie running uncontrollably after coming upon a trio of mice. Ellie is one of three Animal Buddies to fight a boss. She fights the waterfall monster Squirt in Cotton-Top Cove.

Ellie is one of three Animal Buddies to fight a boss. She fights the waterfall monster Squirt in Cotton-Top Cove. In Donkey Kong Land III, she plays differently than she does in Donkey Kong Country 3. First, she has an unlimited water supply, and she can spray water in any level she appears in. Second, she does not run from mice at all. Lastly, she cannot drag barrels in her trunk like in Donkey Kong Country 3. In Donkey Konga, she appears at the bottom of the screen, dancing to the beat of the music played. Ellie was also going to be one rideable creatures in the now-apparently cancelled game, Donkey Kong Racing.
