The Carderplanet criminal organization was organized similar to the mafia with the highest ranking members, or "the family," having titles such as the Godfather and "capo di capi" (or boss of all bosses). Senior members of the organization shut the website down in the summer of 2004 following some arrests of high-ranking members and law enforcement scrutiny.
