  • Raymond Wong is the general manager of Koei's Singapore branch. At a young age, he developed an interest in computer engineering and made text-based simulation games to share with friends. He later graduated at the Imperial College in London with top honors and gained his master's degree in business administration from the University of Hawaii and the Japan-American Institute of Management Science. An avid gamer and savvy businessman, Wong started various ventures before joining Koei in 2004. He worked at the company's headquarters at Yokohama for eight months and took up the role of general manager upon his return to Singapore. Although his efforts to recruit talented employees were difficult and time-consuming, his branch now consists of more than 70 people involved in the creation of multiple titles. He and his team were credited for the development of Sangokushi Online and Jollywood. Wong helped push his country's gaming industry past its infancy by cultivating a new generation of skilled workers. He understands the growing potential of social games and feels that the relationship between game makers and consumers has not changed all that much.
