For their test, Yoruha simply gives them a sparring match, with three of them against himself, and he would pass them if he believed they were worthy of becoming genin. After a long battle, the three genin weren't able to land a single hit on their teacher, but Yoruha passed them regardless, saying that their teamwork was impressive, and he was sure they would become excellent shinobi in the future. Despite the team starting in good terms, Yoruha initially disliked his diciples, especially after Sawaii began pulling pranks on him, such as dropping enormous amount of salt on his food and other embarassing moments. Team Yoruha's early missions were all D-rank missions, something that Yoruha himself was getting frustrated with, because he wanted his team to improve, but with it wouldn't be possible with such weak missions. After the team received a B-rank mission, which required them to escort a merchant to the outskirts of the Land of Fire was when his diciples began showing improvement as they were assaulted by thieves, but were able to scare them off. After Sawaii defected from Konoha alongside Sasuke Uchiha and joined Orochimaru, Team Yoruha was officially disbanded, but Sawaii would return to the village two-and-a-half years later after being redeemed by Naruto Uzumaki and the team would reunite, although not officially. Yoruha would rarely remain with his former diciples, being extremely occupied with his solo missions, and was rarely seen by them while off-duty.
