Marty's father, Bob O'Donnell, played the Surly Dwarf in Myth. In the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 13, 1999 a fire broke out at 360 W. Erie, in Chicago, Illinois. The Chicago Fire Department poured water on the three alarm blaze for 12 hours. The third floor TotalAudio studio was completely destroyed. The duo moved to 400 W. Erie and re-set up shop with a video studio, which needed an audio department. Marty eventually became a full-time Bungie employee due to the persuasive powers of Alex and Jason, and Mike would run the rest of the Total Audio studio while Marty was working on the Bungie projects. Ten days after that, Marty left Chicago for the rainier pastures of Washington, where Bungie had its new home.
