  • Inhabits: Naboo The nargaltch is often a solitary hunter that silently stalks and quickly demolishes its prey. Densely padded feet aid in hunting with stealth and their large claws are superior killing tools. It generally avoids deep water, although narglacthes are good swimmers if pressed.
  • Narglatches were a species of cat native to the frigid world of Orto Plutonia. They were considered to be sacred by the indigenous Talz, who used them as mounts and a source of food. Narglatches were sometimes hunted for their pelt, which was vulnerable to blaster fire and considered valuable by some cultures. Narglatch cubs were considered to be cute and were often kept as pets, but their ferocity increased as they matured. Those that escaped from captivity were a threat on Coruscant.
  • The narglatch male had additional fleshy spikes, while females were smoother. They both had non-retractable claws and a fan-like tail that acted as a rudder during high-speed chases and turns. The narglatch also had densely padded feet that made for silent footfalls. Males and females only commingled during mating season. Females were more fierce hunters than males, but males could chase a female from her kill. Cubs were frequently seen as cute and taken as pets, but became very dangerous as they matured. Escaped narglatches were a threat on Coruscant.
