The R2-G3 unit better known as Nimbus is the quirky astromech droid of freighter captain, Kara Thrace. Much like his master Nimbus likes to make a joke out of everything and routinely pulls pranks on Kara much to her dismay. The duo are practically inseparable, however, and Nimbus routinely follows Kara whenever she goes out on one of her jobs. Fortunately, the little droid can handle himself pretty well in a firefight which may as well be a blessing. With Kara it wasn't a question of "if" a firefight will start but "when".
