| - Bruce Fawcett was a Canadian footballer who played as a central defender for Canada's Bartlett United. Fawcett was drafted at the age of twenty-two from Toronto's Dovercourt Democrats as part of the original formation of Bartlett United. He played his entire career for the Toronto club, and was the only Bartlett Original to do so. Over fifteen seasons with Bartlett United, Fawcett played 379 competitive matches - a record that may never be eclipsed - and helped form the core of United's back line. Known primarily as a tough tackler, Fawcett's offensive numbers were small with only seventeen career assists, and a single career goal. He has been a fan favourite for years in Toronto, and the supporters' groups informally called their section of Nouveau Estadio The Fawcett Stand in his honour until the club formally recognised the name iduring Season 18. When United returned to the very high calibre of Canada's 2.Division, group 2 after several seasons in the wilderness, Fawcett told Manager Sean Boylan that he would only take limited minutes due to his advanced age. In October 2010, midway through Season 21, Fawcett retired, and was instantly inducted in the club's Hall of Heroes.
