The Stardust was the first yo-yo made by 44re:creation, prior to re-naming itself YoYoRecreation. It is lighter and smaller than the Stargazer, lending itself to a faster playing experience. 44re:creation avoids ever having a bent axle on the Stardust. This is accomplished by making the yo-yo's axle thread out of titanium. It also uses the same type of silicone sticker found on the other 44re:creation yo-yos at the time. The first run of the Stardust, released in 2008, had a design flaw where the axle thread would get stripped. The second run of the Stardust came with an officially-licensed KonKave bearing from Dif-e-Yo for unresponsive play, in addition to a redesigned axle thread that alleviates the stripping problems of the first release.
