Two decades later, after the Sith discovered Dromund Kaas, he returned to Nathema and saw the devastation. He later began believing that Vitiate was responsible for its demise. He told his brother, The Dark Hero, about this and the two went to face the Emperor at the Dark Temple. During the fight, the Dark Hero betrayed him and he was strike down by the Emperor. It wasn't until thousands of years later he was unintentionally set free when a member of the Dark Council, who was running and hiding from the Emperor's forces after the Purge of the Dark Council, unknowingly released him. Exitium took over his body and claimed it as his own. Later on, he crafted himself a new black lightsaber and got new robes and a mask to conceal the physical appearance of his host. Exitium does not care for the Jedi or the Republic or even power - his mind is focused only on destroying the Emperor and his Empire.
